Daughter of a career Army officer, Sharon Outlaw spent the first nine years of her life in Europe. There she learned to appreciate history, learn new languages, and enjoy other cultures. Sharon draws on these experiences with each book she writes.

Sharon earned a degree in psychology and did Alzheimer research and SIDS research as a graduate student.

She has written other works: Journey of the Heart, Silver Wings, Letters to Martha, The O’Reagins, and is currently working on a Civil War epic, The Road That Takes Me Home, chronicling the cadets of the Virginia Military Institute.

Sharon Outlaw now lives with her husband in southwest Georgia where they attend Meigs Mennonite Church.
